Laura Helen Sweeney is a visual artist based on Long Island, NY. She creates stylized drawings of figures with a mix of traditional mediums. She received her BFA at Manhattanville College and a MFA at Long Island University. She is an adjunct art professor at LIU Post and Suffolk County Community College and also the art program coordinator at Great Neck Library where she teaches workshops at Levels Teen Center. She is also an instructor at One River School teaching manga classes. Her artwork has been shown in galleries in New York, Philadelphia, Japan, and South Korea. She regularly exhibits at pop culture conventions on the East Coast.
